The Counselor for Science, Universities and Innovation of the Community of Madrid Visits the FPCM

On November 23, Eduardo Sicilia, Counselor for Science, Universities and Innovation of the Community of Madrid, and Mª Luisa Castaño, General Director of Research and Technological Innovation, visited the Madrid Scientific Park Foundation (FPCM).

Madrid, November 27, 2020. Last Monday, November 23, the FPCM received a visit from Eduardo Sicilia, Counselor for Science, Universities and Innovation of the Community of Madrid, and Mª Luisa Castaño, General Director of Research and Technological Innovation. The institutional meeting was attended by the trustees of the Park Joaquín Goyache – President of the FPCM and Rector of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) -, Rafael Garesse – Vice President of the FPCM and Rector of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) -, Margarita San Andrés – President of the Executive Committee of the FPCM and Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer (UCM) – and the members of the Executive Committee of the FPCM Javier Ortega – Vice-Rector for Innovation, Transfer and Technology (UAM) – and Ángela Ribeiro – Deputy Vice President for Knowledge Transfer of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) -.

During the visit, led by the General Director of the FPCM, Pilar Gil, and the Financial and Organizational Director of the FPCM, Mariano Fernández, the representatives of the regional Government got a first-hand look at the Park’s facilities and the activity of some of its companies, such as IOT, which are revolutionizing the market for customized lens manufacturing through 3-D printing, and Overture Life, dedicated to offering embryology for in vitro fertilization at more affordable prices (photo).
