CaTaPull Madrid is an acceleration program for science and technology projects
The Madrid Science Park Foundation (FPCM), in collaboration with the Madrid City Council, launched CaTaPull Madrid last Friday, April 9, a new acceleration program for entrepreneurs in science and technology. The program will drive six innovative projects with mature technologies to the market. The registration period closes on April 21 and information on how to register and the rules of the program can be consulted in https://www.catapull.tech.
The name of the program refers to its objective: to promote or catapult Science and Technology (S&T) projects to turn them into market-validated business models (‘pull‘). The program will last six months, from April to November of this year. Its activities include acceleration sessions to develop a business model according to the Lean Launchpad method, specific for entrepreneurship in science and technology. It also offers workshops and specialized advice on interviews with the market, legal aspects of incorporating a company, intellectual property and financial concepts. Another key pillar is the network of mentors with scientific-technological and entrepreneurial experience in all market areas. The programme will conclude in the autumn with the presentation of the projects to industry and investors.
The launch took place at an event at the City Council facilities in La Nave, Villaverde, and was followed by more than 150 people, including face-to-face and online attendees. The event was attended by the Vice President of the FPCM and Rector of the Autonomous University of Madrid, Rafael Garesse, the Councilor for the Area of Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the City Council, Ángel Niño, the General Director of the FPCM, Pilar Gil, and the Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Fernando Herrero.
