The Madrid Scientific Park Foundation (FPCM) starts the year with good results in the 2018 grant call from the Ministry of Education and Research of the Community of Madrid, whose resolution has recently been made public.

The FPCM will participate in two collaboration proposals of intermediary liaison entities in the Madrid region to promote technological innovation within the framework of the RIS3 strategy, granted to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).

In addition, two companies currently associated with the FPCM, NIMGenetics and Solar Power Innovations, have been beneficiaries of the call for aid for the development of innovative young technology-based companies (startups) and highly innovative SMEs, as well as the company Vaelsys, which was associated with the FPCM from 2005 to 2013.

NIMGenetics is a biomedical company specialized in the design and marketing of genetic clinical diagnostic products and services, and Solar Power Innovations is an engineering company dedicated to developing customized electronic and computer systems, with applications in various sectors.

In the words of Pilar Gil, general director of the FPCM, “We start the year very satisfied with the results obtained in this call and we believe that these grants will have a very positive impact on the revitalization of the scientific-technological entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Madrid region.”
