Around a hundred experts from around the world have chosen 100 startups to face off in South Summit 2018, from more than 3,000 projects submitted from 84 countries, to gain visibility, access new business opportunities, and showcase their projects to investors.
The most important selection criteria have been the degree of innovation, scalability, economic viability, team and the level of interest generated for investment.
Among the finalists in the Healthcare vertical of South Summit 2018 is medmesafe, -virtually incubated at the Madrid Science Park Foundation since 2017-, which has been chosen as one of the most innovative medical video consultation startups offering genetic analytics and health testing services.
The winning startups will have the opportunity to run a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs, a leading equity crowdfunding platform, and compete for one million dollars in funding at the Startup World Cup in Silicon Valley.
As a new feature, during September, South Summit 2018 will announce the startup finalists in the education vertical who will be eligible for the 2018 enligthED Awards promoted by Fundación Telefónica, IE University, and the South Summit organization.
