The 2020 Activity Report of the Madrid Science Park Foundation has been published.

Memories of the pandemic, this 2020 Activity Report of the FPCM could be called. Last year brought us everything we didn’t expect: pandemic, state of alarm, confinement, hydroalcoholic gel, masks of all types and colours, social distance, ventilation, teleworking, video conference marathons, impossible family conciliations, exercises on a tile… A lot of pain, loneliness, uncertainty, fear and, above all, suffering and loss of many loved ones…

But the year 2020 also brought us what we needed to face an exceptional situation: solidarity, effort, responsibility, commitment and full dedication on the part of so many people in their jobs and outside of them, help, flexibility, empathy, affection, recognition and applause, smiles and winks even with masks, imagination, adaptability, resilience and, above all, hope. Hope in the future, hope in science and technology, hope in people, hope in tod@s nosotr@s.

The Park’s activity over the past year reflects all this through its memory. For months the corridors and offices of the Park have remained silent, far from the usual vitality. But the companies and staff of the Park have continued to work and fight to carry out your projects, your dreams and your loved ones. From the laboratories under new COVID-19 protocols algun@s, from their homes tod@s l@s others, the Park has continued to beat and move thanks to your effort, dedication and conviction. At a different pace, adapted to exceptionality, but moving forward. Despite the pandemic, despite everything.

Behind the numbers that we collect in the Report, behind those apparently cold figures, there is the heart, the head and the tireless encouragement of all the people who make the Park and also of those who have left. Do not forget it, preserve your memory. It goes for tod@s.
