Nearly 180,000 Internet users have voted among more than 200 nominated sites. Among the proposals were portals such as Movistar, Repsol, ING Direct, Apple, and Mapfre.
The criteria considered by internet users for their choice include aspects such as content, navigation and usability, and design.
The company, founded by Esther Lindoso and Sergio Ramos in 2011, is based in the Madrid Science Park. During this time, it has successfully launched various online medical and health platforms, which has made it the reference platform in Spanish-speaking ehealth.
The startup belongs to the IHCSalud group, which specializes in new information and communication technologies applied to health.
Along with the Best Website awards won in 2014 and 2013, the company has received the Harvard University award for the digital health community project with the greatest impact on the Internet.
