The event, “Are you a European company? Get the best tips on how to enter the US market with success”, organized by three partners of the Enterprise Europe Network: EAEC, Madrid Chamber of Commerce, and Madrid Science Park, focused on explaining what aspects Spanish companies should consider when entering the North American market. About ten companies from various sectors attended the event.
Miguel Toledo from TyT Abogados explained the peculiarities of legal aspects and business regulations in North America that companies wishing to open businesses in the USA should consider, which from his perspective is fundamental for success from the start.
Germán Loperena, vice president of EAEC, a partner entity of the Enterprise Europe Network in the USA, encouraged participation in the two most important events for companies; on one hand, the CES Vegas Matchfest, one of the world’s leading consumer technology fairs, to be held on January 3 and 4, 2017, where EAEC-EEN will be the organizing entity for B2B meetings to connect companies with potential partners, and on the other hand, the BIO San Diego fair, which will take place in June 2017, aimed at biotechnology companies, and which is one of the most relevant fairs with the greatest international impact in the sector.
Lori L. Cooper, senior advisor of the commerce department of the USA International Trade Administration, explained the advantages of working within the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network, the largest support network for SMEs with an internationalization vocation, and in close collaboration with the DG Grow of the European Commission, given the progress in the TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership), and in view of the opportunities for participation of EU and USA companies in the H2020 program.
