Visit of Students from UCM’s Master’s in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology

Madrid Science Park hosted the visit of students from the Master’s in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology at UCM, accompanied by Ms. Covadonga Vázquez Estévez and Isabel de Siloniz.

During the day, we had the opportunity to introduce the Park’s activities to the 36 participating students, and with the help of two companies with nearly ten years of experience, such as Grupo Natac and Pharmactive, we discussed the application of bioprocesses in innovative business projects, concluding with a guided tour of the incubator where the laboratories of the installed companies are located.

The university students also had the chance to learn about the activities and operations of the recently established Spanish bioindustries cluster SBIOC, as well as the importance of biorefineries and functional foods as vectors for the development of the bioeconomy in Spain.
