The Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and the FPCM have signed a collaboration agreement within the framework of the scientific entrepreneurship programs developed by UAM Emprende. Its objective is to promote and support the entrepreneurial initiatives of science and technology that arise on the university campus.
UAM – FPCM, a fruitful agreement
The Vice-Rector for Transfer, Innovation and Culture of the UAM, Félix Zamora and the general director of the FPCM, Marta del Castillo Vázquez, signed the agreement at the Park’s facilities on October 24. The agreement establishes a new modality within the awards granted in the scientific entrepreneurship programs organized by UAM Emprende. This modality will be called “FPCM Incubation Award – Madrid Science Park Foundation”. Its purpose is to encourage the constitution of business projects developed during UAM Emprende programs. It also aims to encourage participation in them and to be able to compete for one of the three incubation awards granted annually by the FPCM.
Award Requirements and Services
The projects selected to opt for this modality must meet the following requirements:
- Represent a high degree of innovation and be oriented towards emerging sectors with high added value.
- To be in line with the values and ecosystem of the FPCM.
- Meet the admission requirements established by the FPCM.
The award will give access to accommodation and business support services. The incubation can be done in person –coworking– or virtually, at the choice of the winning project. Such choice will however be subject to the availability of coworking spaces in the Park at that time.
The winning project may establish its registered office in the Park in both modalities. This is provided that it complies with the requirements established in article 9 of the Capital Companies Act, RDL of 2 July 1/2010.
