Pablo Gasalla, director of Cube Ventures has visited the business incubator of the Madrid Science Park and has shown interest in several of the most technological projects housed there.
Accompanied by Isidro de Pablo, director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Initiatives (CIADE) of the Autonomous University of Madrid, Gasalla has chatted for an hour with representatives of five of the most innovative technology companies in the Park. In a discerning tone, he had the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in biometrics from BioECM, the SaaS solutions in the cloud from Aratech, the systems integration from Nextel, the big data applications from Dart or the .NET and Java developments for logistics management from InnoCV.
After this initial introductory meeting, both the companies and the investment platform have shown great proactivity in exploring possible avenues for collaboration and advice.
Cube Ventures has an investment platform for digital projects with the potential to become profitable businesses with high growth potential. Specifically, they seek to capitalize on knowledge in models related to multi-category lead generation, software as a service (SaaS) companies or e-commerce, among others.
However, beyond participating with capital, the firm is committed to providing projects with its know-how, network of contacts, and experience in business management.
In this line, all attendees at the meeting in the Park have agreed to prepare a gathering that addresses the latest market developments in digital innovations applied to fintech or e-commerce.
Pablo is a former student of the Autonomous University of Madrid and has always been closely linked to entrepreneurial ideas emerging from the university environment. Last February, for example, he gave a motivational talk to participants in the 13th edition of the university entrepreneur award, with which the Center for Entrepreneurial Initiatives of the UAM rewards the best entrepreneurial ideas arising from Madrid universities.
