This past Thursday, June 19th, the gardens of the Madrid Science Park became the perfect setting to welcome the summer. The Park’s companies and staff shared an afternoon of celebration that served to foster the connection and great atmosphere that characterize the Park’s ecosystem.

An Afternoon Full of Activity

The afternoon kicked off with a fun gymkhana organized by Pharmactive, a company incubated at the Park, which filled the atmosphere with laughter and healthy competition, though it put more than one person to the test… At the same time, the garden was filled with activities and options for everyone: badminton courts, a pétanque area, and even a beer pong table that became a perfect meeting spot for those seeking refuge from the heat.

The afternoon’s DJ, Joel from Funditec, offered to play a half-hour set to create some atmosphere and ended up treating us to an amazing set of over an hour and a half.

And between songs, the music also became a game. The musical bingo became one of the most entertaining moments of the afternoon thanks to the Incubator team, sparking a healthy competition to be the first to guess each song, although the best part was when everyone started singing along, leaving behind some spontaneous performances and lots of laughter for the memory books.

The finishing touch of the afternoon was the raffle. The draw kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the last minute, handing out prizes and smiles to the lucky members of the #PCMCommunity.

The True Success of the Party

It’s clear that, in addition to working on innovative projects, a real community is created at the Park, and that’s not something you achieve every day. The true success of the party was precisely this: watching how the bonds were strengthened among the people who form this ecosystem.

For a few hours, the laboratories and offices gave way to a space of laughter, chats, and dancing, proving that talent is human and that the connections created in these moments are what truly drive us forward.

For the memories, here is an album with photos from the event.

The Best Lesson

As an intern in the Communication Unit, this party has been an incredible experience. Having the opportunity to lend a hand with the organization and then see how ideas on paper turn into laughter, conversations, and dancing, is one of the best lessons I’m taking with me.

Experiencing it from the inside has allowed me to truly understand the value of the community we have at the Park. It is, without a doubt, one of the best memories I will take from my time here.
