Summary of the Information Day on Internationalization Services Offered by the Enterprise Europe Network for Entrepreneurs, Companies, and Researchers

On February 21, 2019, the Madrid Science Park Foundation organized an Information Day on the internationalization services offered by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), -as a member of this global network since 2008-, aimed at entrepreneurs, companies, and researchers in the foundation’s environment.

The Enterprise Europe Network is the largest support network for SMEs with an internationalization focus, driven by the European Commission, to make them more competitive and grow rapidly. The EEN network is made up of more than 600 organizations worldwide, including chambers of commerce and industry, technology centers, universities, and development agencies.

The opening of the event was led by Pilar Gil Ibáñez, General Director of the FPCM, and included presentations by Carmen Gilabert, Head of Communication and Institutional Relations at FPCM and communication delegate of the EEN network in Spain, Cátia Rabaça, Head of Business Development at FPCM, and David Arbelo, Project Manager at FPCM, who explained the services and advice for SMEs offered by the Network to access the advantages of international markets, through the following blocks:

  • How to Register with the EEN? Registration on the Enterprise Europe Network platform, activation of personalized alerts, consultations, and publication of technology profiles.
  • How to Find International Partners at Events? Participation in Brokerage Events (Fairs) and Company Missions.
  • How to Access Funding? Innovation services, KAM, and SME Instrument.

The session, which brought together 24 attendees, concluded with a series of meetings with EEN technicians at the FPCM to resolve practical questions.
