Planeta Ciencias of Tenerife visits FPCM facilities

On July 11, 2018, as part of the project to promote scientific vocations among secondary school female students, the Asociación Planeta Ciencias (in collaboration with the Department of Youth, Equality and Historical Heritage of the Cabildo de Tenerife), brought 10 3rd year ESO female students from Tenerife to the Fundación Parque Científico de Madrid to experience firsthand the scientific and technological projects, the main paths of professional development, and the research work being carried out by its most innovative incubated companies.

During the visit, the Canarian students toured the facilities, offices, laboratories, and common areas of the Park and also had the opportunity to meet Esther Fernández, co-founder and director of Geniality (a biotechnology company incubated at FPCM dedicated to the application of diagnostic techniques in the field of reproductive genetics), who shared her experience to serve as a professional example and reference for them.

The group completed their tour at other centers and partner entities of the UAM-CSIC and UCM-UPM International Excellence Campuses.
