PCM – BStartup, an agreement to promote deep tech entrepreneurship
In their commitment to strengthen the innovation ecosystem and support the growth of startups and deep tech scaleups, the PCM and BStartup agreed to facilitate access to specialized financial services and investment opportunities for companies incubated in the Park. The agreement was signed by the general director of the PCM, Marta del Castillo Vázquez, and the director of BStartup and business hub , Yolanda Pérez Sáez. This alliance reflects the bank’s strong support for the development of the region’s innovative business fabric and the Park’s firm commitment to revitalising its environment and consolidating itself as a benchmark in the promotion of technological innovation in Spain.
Tailor-made services
Through this collaboration, companies housed in the Park will be able to access banking services designed for the specific needs of startups and deep tech scaleups. They will thus benefit from adapted financing circuits, specialised advice and access to the BStartup office in Madrid. In addition, companies with high growth potential will be eligible for
equity investment through the BStartup10 and Sabadell Venture Capital programs. Companies will also be able to receive training in financing from the bank’s experts.
Strengthening the ecosystem
In the words of Marta del Castillo, “the support of strategic entities such as Banco Sabadell is key to strengthening our ecosystem and providing our startups with the necessary tools to scale their projects successfully. With this agreement, the PCM continues to consolidate its role in the innovation ecosystem, offering startups and scaleups key tools for their scalability and success in the market.”
For her part, Yolanda Pérez stressed that “at Banco Sabadell’s BStartup we attach great importance to supporting technology transfer and science- and technology-based companies, due to their promotion of innovation and competitiveness and their great social and economic impact. It is therefore a great satisfaction for us to start this collaboration with the Madrid Science Park to be able to contribute to the growth of companies with very high added value”.
