Nanological is looking to add a person to their team for an Embedded Software Engineering internship to work on-site at their headquarters in the Parque Científico de Madrid (Cantoblanco campus).

At Nanological, we are developing a pioneering diagnostic platform to quickly and accurately detect bacteria responsible for sepsis. Our technology combines microfluidics, optomechanical sensors, and artificial intelligence to deliver results in minutes.

💼 What are we looking for?

We are looking for a person with technical training (recent graduate or currently pursuing a master’s) interested in developing their career in embedded software.

If you want to work in an innovative environment, with a highly specialized team and create real impact in healthcare, this is your opportunity.

You will join the development team to support hardware control software, automation, and new functionalities.

  • Location: Madrid (hybrid format, on-site at Parque Científico de Madrid, with 1 day of remote work per week).
  • Possibility of hiring after the internship depending on performance.

 

👨‍💻 What will you do?
  • Collaborate in the development of embedded software, mainly in Python.
  • Learn efficient middleware programming in C/C++ for resource-constrained systems.
  • Integrate commercial hardware using protocols SPI, I2C, UART and control via GPIO.
  • Work alongside hardware, software, and data teams.
  • Participate in using Git and familiarize yourself with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Gain hands-on experience in electronics and embedded systems architecture.

 

🎓 What profile are we looking for?
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar.
  • Knowledge of Python applied to hardware automation or control.
  • Basic knowledge of embedded programming in C/C++.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART.
  • Basic handling of Git.
  • Interest or experience in hardware testing and debugging is a plus.
