Who we are
The Parque Científico de Madrid is a non-profit public foundation created by the Autonomous University (UAM) and Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) to promote innovative scientific-technological entrepreneurship. We support emerging (startups) and growing (scaleups) companies based on cutting-edge technologies that aim to solve social challenges (deep tech). Through value-added services, top-level facilities, and a wide network of ecosystem collaborators, we help these companies bring their solutions to society and improve people’s lives with their products and services.
We are a multidisciplinary science park that incubates companies from diverse fields such as precision medicine, nanomaterials and advanced materials, remote sensing, AI, big data, nutrigenomics, genetic diagnostics, optics, environmental engineering, renewable energy. Our Genomics Unit offers specialized services to research groups from universities, R&D&i centers, hospitals, and companies inside and outside the Park. Among other projects, we are partners of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), the largest global network supporting companies seeking international markets, and the ESA BIC Madrid Region, from the European Space Agency, which transfers innovations developed for the space sector to non-space applications.
We are backed by an excellent Board of Trustees made up of UAM, UCM, CSIC, the Community of Madrid, and the Madrid City Council. More information about FPCM can be found at this link.
