Funditec is looking for a Business Dev. Manager for its consultancy services unit, Innova_Consulting, in Madrid (hybrid model).
The role will focus on leading the commercial strategy, business generation, and client acquisition for R&D&i consultancy services at a national and European level.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business Dev. Manager will work in the Funditec INNOVA’s Consulting division to define and execute the commercial strategy. Reporting to the division’s Director, your main tasks will be divided into the following areas:
Sales Strategy:
- Definition, execution, and monitoring of the commercial strategy for the Consulting division.
- Definition and control of annual sales targets and revenue at a national and European level.
- Continuous updating of the commercial strategy based on market evolution and team capabilities.
Networking and Commercial:
- Business generation and client acquisition for R&D&i consultancy services.
- Creation of effective sales pitches and commercial presentations.
- Searching for business opportunities, including public tenders.
- Identification, acquisition, and retention of clients, partners, and collaborators.
- Negotiation of commercial terms and promotion of the division’s services.
- Representation of Funditec in associations, platforms, and innovation forums.
Project Operations:
- Development and writing of proposals and service offers, in coordination with the technical team.
- Definition of budgets for proposals and offers.
- Document management of the administrative and financial aspects of the proposals.
- Coordination with Funditec’s corporate departments (Legal, Finance, etc.).
JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a professional with a strategic vision, commercial skills, and demonstrable experience in the innovation consulting sector. To fill the position, the following is required:
- An engineering, bachelor’s, or higher university degree, with specialization or complementary training in innovation management. A Master’s degree will be positively valued.
- Demonstrable experience of at least 4 years in business development and negotiation processes in the R&D&i consulting sector.
- Extensive knowledge of European funding programs (Horizon Europe, EIC, Interreg, etc.).
- Demonstrable experience in tendering processes for public bids.
- C1 level of Spanish and English. A third language will be valued.
- Proficiency in Office tools and management software (CRM, ERP like SAGE).
- Commercial, communication, and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel nationally and within Europe.
