IOT Lenses, ClarkeModet and the FPCM join forces to organize the Innovation Race. It is a sporting event to promote healthy habits and promote the last link in the virtuous chain of R+D+i: innovation. Under the slogan “We move for innovation“, the degree is open to employees of these entities and any of those incubated in the Madrid Science Park, as well as to staff and students of the faculties and research centers of the UAM-CSIC campus and the UCM-CSIC campus. Both universities, together with the CSIC, are part of the Park’s Board of Trustees .

Winning team for innovation

In addition to the three organizers, the Innovation Race has a winning team in research, development and innovation. The institutional collaborators of the event include the UAM and the Madrid City Council. The race sponsors Werfen, a leading corporation in biomedical solutions and products and supplier of the FPCM Genomics unit and various companies in the Park. Among these companies, the incubated Aora Health -specialized in nutraceuticals- and EvoEnzyme -focused on the development of enzymes à la carte for multiple applications- participate as private collaborators.

To complete this luxury line-up, the Innovation Race has the technical direction of the Marathon Sports Group, an athletics club with more than 65 years of history and experts in the organisation of sporting events.

For all audiences

As in the formation of the organizing team, the design of the race seeks to make it inclusive and suitable for all audiences. Whether you have experience in athletics competitions, or if it is the first time you participate, there is an opportunity to take part in it. Thus, the event has two modalities: 2.5 km and 5.0 km, and very popular prices, within reach of all budgets. Participants will receive a runner’s bag with various items.

Thus, the objective of this recreational and sporting event is to join forces and enjoy in community, while promoting R+D+i. Are you up for it? You can check the details of the latest edition in our agenda.
