The Virtual Impact Presentations Workshop shows in a practical way how to improve online events.

The Digital Tools: Virtual Impact Presentations Workshop, held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, demonstrated with facts how to create memorable online events. The more than thirty participants in the workshop – organized by the FPCM together with Miguel Moya, from Cerolimit, as part of the activities of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) – learned from A to Z how to plan and execute a high-impact digital event.

These types of events have become essential in our time. Digitalisation is one of the key challenges for the European Union and Spain for their projection in the coming years, as reflected in the guidelines and programmes of the European Commission and the Spain Can Recovery Plan. In addition, the current pandemic situation has accelerated the digital transition. However, this adaptation has not always been done in the best possible way. Since the beginning of the pandemic, our lives have been filled with virtual events: meetings, courses, webinars, debates and other formats saturate our agendas but, after the initial enthusiasm, they generate more and more boredom and disenchantment.

The reason for this digital fatigue is not only due to countless hours in front of screens, but also to inadequate preparation for online events. For this reason, during the workshop, Miguel Moya outlined the keys to changing this dynamic and planning impactful events. From how to organize the registration of participants and reminders (attending online events is much easier to forget than attending a face-to-face event in a different place from where we work), to broadcasting and live broadcasting, to the creation of participatory events and small games or contests (gamification) with which interaction with the audience is sought.
