Object

The Madrid Science Park Foundation (FPCM) announces the FPCM Competition for the cover of the 2024 Annual Report to select the front image of its annual report for the year 2024.

 

Participants

Any alumni or student with an official degree or from the FPCM’s patron universities: UAM and UCM may participate. Each person may only submit one work.

 

Deadlines

The deadline for submission of the works will be until February 28, 2025 (inclusive). The jury’s decision will be made public on the FPCM website.

 

Technique and theme

The technique is free and the theme must transmit and be coherent with the mission, vision and values of the FPCM, within the framework of innovative science and technology entrepreneurship.

 

Works

The works must be original and unpublished and must not have been published, or pending publication, or disseminated in other means of expression or communication, in printed or digital format. The works will not have been previously awarded, nor will they have been sent to other competitions that are pending final resolution by the jury.

 

Format and delivery

The delivery method will be by email, through email comunicacion@fpcm.es

The works will be presented in high-resolution PDF, in portrait orientation and A4 size, in a file named with the title of the work that must lack any type of personal information of the author. Once the prize has been resolved, the physical cover will be requested, if it has been made in a format other than digital.

In addition to the file with the work, a second PDF file must be attached, in the form of an escrow, called “Data + title of the work”, which must contain:

  1. Personal data: name, surname, address, telephone number and email.
  2. Declaration by the author that the work submitted is original and unpublished, and that it meets the requirements of the clause described above.
  3. Proof of belonging to the UAM or UCM or a copy that proves a legal link with them (enrolment for the current academic year or other supporting document).

Submissions with incomplete or incorrect data or files according to these bases, or that are damaged and prevent the correct evaluation of the work, will be automatically discarded. No communication will be maintained with the participants beyond the strict confirmation of receipt of works in response to the delivery email.

 

Jury

The jury will be made up of a maximum of seven people from the FPCM and the university community of the UAM and the UCM. The members of the jury may not participate in the aforementioned contest. The jury is empowered to resolve any incident in relation to the prize, in accordance with these rules in any case.

 

Resolution and award

A single prize is established with a tablet with graphic design capabilities.

The jury may declare the prize void. The decision of the jury will be final.

 

Publication

The award-winning work will be published as the cover of the FPCM 2024 Annual Report, coinciding with the printing of its print run before June 2025. The winner will receive two copies of the publication and express recognition of the authorship of the cover in the report itself.

 

Acceptance of terms and conditions and assignment of rights

Participation in the FPCM Competition for the cover of the 2024 Annual Report implies the full acceptance of the terms and conditions and the assignment, by the author, exclusively and free of charge in favour of the FPCM, of all the rights of exploitation of the work, which include those of reproduction, distribution, public communication, transformation, in any of the modalities of exploitation existing and known to date, unconditionally, for the maximum period of duration of the same provided for in Consolidated Text of the Intellectual Property Law, that is, until it enters the public domain and extends to all countries in the world.

 

Protection of personal data

Participation in the FPCM Competition for the cover of the 2024 Report implies full acceptance of the processing of personal data as indicated below. In compliance with the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679, General on the Protection of Personal Data and Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights, it is reported that personal data will be processed by the FPCM with the consent of the participants for the development of this contest, its evaluation, public decision or publication.

Likewise, the rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation and other rights provided for in current regulations can be exercised, by directing your request to the address protecciondedatos@fpcm.es. It must be accompanied by an ID card or document accrediting the identity of the owner of the data, as well as indicating in the subject “Exercise of personal data rights FPCM competition”.
