g2-Zero

g2-Zero develops single-photon sources and other semiconductor-based quantum photonic components for applications in quantum communications, quantum computing, and quantum sensing. Its objective is to address the growing need for secure and efficient solutions in information transmission.

Its main areas of specialization include:

• Plug&Play quantum light sources: Its technology focuses on offering purely electrical devices that are robust against vibrations and without the need for complex optical alignments, facilitating their integration into emerging quantum infrastructures.
• Scalable quantum technologies: Its innovative approach allows for the scaling of these photonic technologies more easily and cost-effectively, contributing to the accelerated adoption of quantum technologies in the global market.
• Secure quantum communications: They provide key components to implement cyber-attack-resistant quantum communication networks, which are essential for future security.

g2-Zero is a spin-off of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), founded in 2020 and backed by the NEOTEC program, among others. In 2024, it was selected from over 1,300 applicants to participate in the Quantum DeepLab incubator of the DIANA program of NATO, and this year begins its participation in the incubator of the European Space Agency (ESA).
