Eye4Sky is the first spin-off from INTA. It develops polarization modulators based on variable-delay liquid crystals for use in space. This technology has numerous applications in the fields of astrophysics, Earth observation, and quantum communications.
Their modulators are on board the Solar Orbiter probe, launched by the ESA (European Space Agency) in collaboration with NASA in 2020. They have also been successfully used in NASA’s SunRISE III mission and in the NanoMagSat project of the ESA’s Scout program for agile research missions.
