Biovegen – Plant Biotechnology Technology Platform is a public-private entity whose objective is to improve the competitiveness of the agri-food sector through the development of technologies derived from plant biology.
To this end, it coordinates entities in the Spanish agri-food sector, connecting supply and demand for technology, and generating business opportunities through Science-Business collaboration. It also acts as an interface between the scientific community, businesses, and the Administration, offering tools that facilitate R activities for its partners.
Currently, Biovegen has 163 partner entities: 141 companies, 22 research organizations, and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, which supports and co-finances the initiative and is open to collaborations with other entities in the sector.
