Algarikon Mar Menor S.L. aims to make use of algae wrack through a circular economy strategy based on a cascading system. The company introduces the wrack into the food chain through a patented formulation of substrates for sustainable mushroom cultivation. The exhausted substrates are used for the recovery of proteins, polysaccharides, and the production of biofertilizers. Finally, the exhausted matrix is used to produce methane.
