UTEK

Development of highly reliable and high-performance unmanned vessels

Unmanned Surface Vehicles are unmanned vessels for naval applications. Although their use dates back to the end of World War II, it was not until the last years of the 20th century that they began to be used in certain operations, mainly in the Defense sector. In recent years, their demand has been increasing significantly due to the variety of applications in which they can be used, from maritime surveillance to ocean research, covering a wide spectrum of uses.

The use of aerospace methodologies ensures that the final product presented by UTEK is very robust in terms of low failure rate and high operability.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has trusted UTEK through its business incubation program ESA BIC, which is implemented in Madrid in collaboration with the Community of Madrid (CAM) through the Foundation for Knowledge Madri+d. UTEK has followed this incubation program with the financial, technical, and commercial support of ESA and CAM.
