OpenNebula

OpenNebula is a comprehensive open source IaaS environment (a model based on outsourcing data and storage machinery) supported by a great community of developers and integrators.

As it is a completely open system, the OpenNebula System has total interoperability with components of the already existing infrastructures. It does not depend exclusively on any specific kind of hypervisor (virtualisation managers) and does not require any particular resources. The system has the ability to adapt to already existing infrastructures depending on the amount of work and abilities that are needed.

OpenNebula was created by the DSA research group (Distributed Systems Architecture Research Group of the Complutense University of Madrid). It focuses on distributed computing, visualisation and IaaS platforms. It became definitely consolidated in the market with the creation of the company C12G.
