The 2023

The FPCM launches the design contest “Stand up for the Park 2023” to choose the cover of the annual report of the Madrid Science Park.

 

RULES OF THE “GIVE YOUR FACE FOR THE PARK 2023” CONTEST

 

 

Participants

Anyone who has an existing legal relationship with the UAM or the UCM (PDI, PDIF, PAS, student of official or own degrees, and alumni) may participate. Each participant may submit only one work.

 

Works

The works must be original and unpublished and must not have been published, or pending publication, or disseminated in other means of expression and communication, whether in printed or digital format. The works will not have been awarded previously, nor will they have been sent to other competitions that are pending final resolution by the jury.

 

Deadlines

The deadline for submission of the works will be until May 19, 2023 (23:59). The jury’s decision will be made public on the FPCM website.

 

Delivery
The delivery method will be through the email comunicacion@fpcm.es.

 

Format
  1. The works will be presented in A4 size and JPG format (maximum 1 Mb) in a file named with the title of the work that must lack any type of personal information of the author.
  2. In addition to the file with the work, another file in PDF format must be attached, in the form of an escrow, called “Data + title of the work” containing:
    1. Personal data: name, surname, address, telephone number and email;
    2. Declaration by the author that the work submitted is original and unpublished, and that it meets the requirements of the clause described above.
    3. Proof of belonging to the UAM or the UCM, a copy that proves a legal relationship with the UAM or UCM, such as enrolment for the current academic year, employment contract or other supporting document.
Submissions with incomplete or incorrect data and files according to these bases, or that are damaged and prevent the correct evaluation of the work presented, will be automatically discarded. No type of communication will be maintained with the participants beyond the strict confirmation of the receipt of the works in response to the delivery email.

 

Prize
A single prize is established endowed with one thousand euros (€1000), an amount on which the corresponding withholdings will be made according to the tax legislation in force in Spain.
The jury may declare the prize void. The decision of the jury will be final.

 

Publication
The award-winning work will be published on the cover of the FPCM 2022 Report, coinciding with the printing of its print run in May 2023. The winner will receive two copies of the publication and express recognition of the author of the cover, on the back cover of the FPCM 2022 Report.

 

Jury
The jury will be made up of a maximum of seven people from the FPCM and the university community of the UAM and the UCM. The members of the jury may not participate in the aforementioned contest. The jury is empowered to resolve any incident in relation to the prize, in accordance with these rules in any case.

 

Specific bases
Once the prize has been decided, the jury will request the physical cover, in the case of having been made in a format other than digital. The technique is free, and the theme must transmit and be coherent with the mission, vision and values of the FPCM within the framework of innovative entrepreneurship in science and technology.

 

Acceptance of terms and conditions and assignment of rights
Participation in the “Stand up for the Park 2023” contest implies the full acceptance of the terms and conditions and the assignment, by the author, exclusively and free of charge in favour of the FPCM, of all the rights of exploitation of the work, which include those of reproduction, distribution, public communication, transformation into any of the existing and known modes of exploitation to date, unconditionally, for the maximum period of duration of the same provided for in Consolidated Text of the Intellectual Property Law, that is, until it enters the public domain and extends to all countries in the world.

 

Protection of personal data

Participation in the Da la cara por el Parque Contest implies full acceptance of the processing of personal data, in accordance with the content of this document, by the data controller, which is the FPCM. In compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, General Protection of Personal Data and Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights, it is reported that personal data will be processed by the FPCM with the consent of the participants for the development of this contest, its evaluation, public decision or publication. Likewise, the rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation and other rights provided for in current regulations can be exercised, by directing your request to the Data Protection Officer of the FPCM, whose contact address is protecciondedatos@fpcm.es. It must be accompanied by an ID card or document accrediting the identity of the owner of the data, as well as indicating in the subject “Exercise of personal data rights FPCM competition”.
