The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), in collaboration with the Madrid Science Park Foundation, has launched the Dinamiza project, approved by the Community of Madrid to boost scientific entrepreneurship in Madrid.
Its objective is the creation of technology-based companies that develop the knowledge generated at CSIC. The project, managed by the Deputy Vice-Presidency for Knowledge Transfer of CSIC, has a duration of three years and has been funded with almost 500,000 euros and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, within the framework of the ERDF Operational Program 2014-2020 of the Community of Madrid.

The Dinamiza project, in which the Madrid Science Park Foundation collaborates, integrates a series of activities aimed at supporting entrepreneurship within CSIC. The objective is to promote entrepreneurial culture within the scientific community, identifying lines of research and technologies that can lead to business opportunities and accompanying researchers throughout the journey prior to launching a company.
Companies emerging from CSIC have a high technological level and great added value. Although in some cases they present a high risk in the early stages of development, they are also attractive to investors seeking disruptive products, due to their ability to open new national and international markets. “The CSIC portfolio, with more than 300 technologies available and the capacity to conduct cutting-edge quality research, is today a benchmark for private investment programs and entities,” state representatives from the Deputy Vice-Presidency for Knowledge Transfer.
CSIC is one of the 8 patrons of the Madrid Science Park Foundation and both entities are part of alliances and projects with other regional and national partners, such as the Enterprise Europe Network madri+d, the largest global network supporting SMEs with international projection.
With the Dinamiza project, the aid obtained will be invested entirely in co-financing activities aimed at creating spin-offs, so this project represents a new challenge and commitment to knowledge transfer for CSIC.
