Madrid Science Park Foundation is offering a permanent employment contract for the position of Infrastructure Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent training.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrable practical experience in the preventive and corrective maintenance of general building systems. Solid experience in machinery inspection and compliance with technical operating protocols is essential. Proficiency is required in the areas of HVAC, electricity, electronics, and fire protection systems, etc.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in the technical maintenance of specialized research infrastructure. Specific experience in general-purpose laboratories and culture rooms is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will primarily perform the following duties:

INFRASTRUCTURE DEPARTMENT
1. Project Management and Subcontracting
  • Management of the maintenance and operation of the building, facilities, and scientific equipment.
  • Monitoring of subcontractors (comprehensive maintenance)
  • Management of energy supplies.
  • Execution and monitoring of repairs and new installations.
  • Preparation of technical documentation for highly complex strategic projects planned for the coming fiscal years at the Foundation.
  • Control and up-to-date archiving of plans, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Incident management.
  • Collaboration in technical consulting.
  • Direct execution and on-site support for troubleshooting and the implementation of new infrastructure. Solid knowledge and practical experience in handling tools and equipment specific to the sector are essential.
  • As the emergency response leader, you must define and communicate the emergency response protocol to your team.
  • Collaboration with other units (IT and Scientific Incubator)
2. Procurement and Supply Management
  • Management tasks required to carry out this role (market research, requests for proposals, comparison of quotes and technical validation, verification of delivery, etc.)
  • Preparation of documentation for on-site analysis to assess needs for repair, refurbishment, or improvement, ensuring solutions are aligned with operational requirements.

 

PUBLIC PROCUREMENT AREA
  • No prior experience in this specific area is required. The Foundation will train staff in this area.
  • Active collaboration in the drafting of Technical Specifications (PPT) and in the preparation of associated administrative documentation.
  • Comprehensive technical and administrative management through the Public Sector Procurement Platform (PLACSP) and the Community of Madrid Platform

 

WE OFFER
  • Permanent contract.
  • On-site work.
  • Full-time schedule of 39 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Intensive work schedule during Holy Week, summer, and Christmas.

 

SELECTION PROCESS

Candidates with the highest scores will be interviewed, provided they achieve a total of 55 points across all evaluable criteria (C1–C6).

The candidate with the highest score will be hired, provided they achieve 75 points (C1–C7).

  • Demonstrable experience in the technical maintenance of unique research infrastructures: 25%
  • Practical experience in the maintenance of complex/unique facilities: 15%
  • Knowledge of the use of software for the Building Management System (BMS / HVAC / Lighting) known as “Metasys” by Johnson Controls: 10%
  • Possession of an Electrician’s License: 10%
  • Possession of a RITE Certificate: 10%
  • Knowledge of laboratory biosafety regulations: 10%
  • Interview: 20%
