g2-Zero

g2-Zero specializes in the development of high-performance photonic components for the quantum sector. The company offers single-photon and entangled-pair emitter devices based on semiconductors, designed for applications in quantum communications, computing, and sensing.

Its main areas of specialization include:

• Quantum light sources: Design and manufacturing of high-performance and scalable single-photon and entangled-pair emitters.
• “Plug & Play” technology: Development of purely electrical, vibration-resistant devices that are free from complex optical alignments to facilitate their integration.
• Semiconductor-based components: Use of semiconductor technology to enable an industrialized, accessible, and cost-effective production of quantum components.
• Quantum applications: Solutions oriented towards quantum cryptography (QKD), quantum computing, and high-precision sensing.

g2-Zero is a spin-off of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), founded in 2020 and backed by public and private investors. Its technology is positioned to be a disruptive element in emerging quantum applications. In 2024, it was selected from over 1,300 applicants to participate in the DIANA quantum accelerator program of NATO.
