The session Active, Safe, Go to market! Activa and EUIPO for innovative start-ups <\/em> offered a summary of both calls.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

On Thursday, March 24, 2022, the session Active, Safe, Go to market! Activa and EUIPO for innovative start-ups <\/em><\/a>. The webinar<\/em>, organised by the FPCM<\/a> with ClarkeModet<\/a> and Idel Innovation Funding<\/a>, provided an overview of the Activa Startups<\/a> (EOI – Min. Industry) and the EUIPO<\/a> SME Fund<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The presentation by Patricia Sarasola, Senior IP Consultant<\/em> at ClarkeModet, covered the aforementioned EUIPO bonds. These bonds are aimed at patents, trademarks or designs to strengthen internationalization and competitiveness in access and positioning in the market. He detailed the application procedure, its amounts and concepts covered by it. He also mentioned other possibilities related to the protection of industrial and intellectual property, such as SPTO subsidies<\/a>. Finally, the speaker illustrated her explanation with a practical example of how to get the most out of this aid. <\/p>\n

Next, Patricio G\u00f3mez, Commercial Director of Idel, discussed the Activa Startups program. Its grants are aimed at innovative collaborative projects between SMEs and startups<\/em> that use emerging technologies for <\/span> digital transformation<\/span>, low-carbon economy or circular economy. The following emerging technologies are considered: AI,<\/a> IoT, big data<\/em><\/a>, supercomputing<\/a>, cloud computing<\/a>, Blockchain<\/em>, NLP, cybersecurity<\/a>, biometrics and digital identity, biotechnology<\/a> and medical devices, robotics, quantum computing, data analytics<\/a>, augmented reality, 3D printing and additive manufacturing, green algorithms or nanotechnology<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The speaker also briefly touched on the Digital Kit<\/a> grants for the digital transformation of SMEs. With this, he wanted to show the differences between a program aimed at market solutions (Digital Kit), versus another aimed at new solutions that do not exist in the market (Activa Startups). He also mentioned the Innovation Check for SMEs<\/a> program of the Community of Madrid and the possible participation of start-ups<\/em> in it. <\/p>\n

Finally, Carmen Gilabert, Resp. of Institutional Relations and Communication of the FPCM, briefly described the services offered by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN),<\/a> of which the FPCM is a member. In addition to these services, the EEN has recently created a supply chain resilience platform<\/a> to mitigate the effects of the invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent economic crisis as much as possible. <\/p>\n
