These awards are an initiative arising from the collaboration between the FPCM and <a href=\"https:\/\/eithealth.eu\/spain-2\/?lang=es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EIT Health Spain<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/eithealth.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EIT Health&#8217;s<\/a> regional <em>hub<\/em>, of which the former is a <em>network partner<\/em>. EIT Health is part <a href=\"https:\/\/eit.europa.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT),<\/a> an entity of the European Union.  <\/p>\n<p>The Health to Market Awards are part of the FPCM&#8217;s set of activities in its work to promote, encourage and support the creation and growth of technology-based companies, especially those that direct their innovations to the <strong>health, medical or biomedical sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of these awards is <strong><em>to offer advanced development and internationalization services to young companies\/innovative business projects related to regional health technologies, aligned with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comunidad.madrid\/inversion\/estrategia-s3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S3 Madrid strategy<\/a>, and with ambition to access the European market<\/em><\/strong>. The awards will select three winners in two categories, based on the age and life cycle of the project. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>II Health to Market Awards: at a glance<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The participating projects\/companies must <strong>maintain in some demonstrable way links with entities of the Madrid regional innovation ecosystem<\/strong>. This includes universities, research centres, science and technology parks, innovation <em>hubs<\/em> , incubation\/acceleration programmes, etc. <\/p>\n<p>The II Health to Market Awards include <strong>two categories for the participating projects\/companies<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>from 0 to 3 years old;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>over 3 years old.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The prizes will be awarded according to the degree of innovation (innovative nature, disruption and technological novelty), socio-economic impact, commercial viability and potential for development and internationalisation. They will consist <strong>of mentoring\/<em>coaching bonuses<\/em><\/strong>: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Category from 0 to 3 years old: <strong>2 prizes <\/strong>each consisting<strong> of a 4-hour bonus<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Category over 3 years old: <strong>1 prize<\/strong> consisting<strong> of an 8-hour voucher<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mentors\/<em>coaches<\/em> will be assigned by EIT Health Spain according to their experience and availability<\/strong>. These experts will provide advice on planning, execution or monitoring processes of the strategy of: (i) internationalization and (ii) market access of the award-winning projects\/companies.   <\/p>\n<p>These activities will be reflected in an <strong>action plan prepared jointly and executed by the team of the award-winning entity<\/strong> under the monitoring and support of the mentor\/<em>coach<\/em>. The plan and actions designed between the expert and the team must provide for actions beyond information and guidance. <strong>All these activities must be carried out during the two months considered for their execution<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>In addition, the beneficiary projects\/companies will be offered to participate in subsequent programs -acceleration, scaling, open innovation, etc.- carried out or participated in by the FPCM and EIT Health.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>SUBMISSION OF CANDIDACIES<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>From July 15 to September 15, 2024<\/strong><\/span>, both inclusive.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement of the award-winning projects\/companies will be made in November.
