{"id":58122,"date":"2025-06-24T10:51:01","date_gmt":"2025-06-24T08:51:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fpcm.es\/ofertas\/fpcm-analista-de-datos-un-genomica\/"},"modified":"2025-06-25T09:07:21","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T07:07:21","slug":"fpcm-data-analyst-genomics-unit","status":"publish","type":"ofertas","link":"https:\/\/fpcm.es\/en\/ofertas\/fpcm-data-analyst-genomics-unit\/","title":{"rendered":"FPCM: Data Analyst Genomics Unit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fpcm.es\/en\/get-to-know-us\/who-we-are\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Madrid Science Park Foundation (FPCM)<\/a> <\/strong> offers a <strong>permanent<\/strong> contract for a university graduate as a Data Analyst in its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fpcm.es\/en\/genomics\/\">Genomics Unit<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>This hiring is subject to authorization from the Community of Madrid&#8217;s Department of Economy, Finance, and Employment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>FUNCTIONS<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>As a Genomics Data Analyst, the selected person will primarily carry out the following activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintenance, optimization, management, and development of data analysis tools available in the Genomics Unit &#8211; FPCM, and incorporation of new tools or functionalities.<\/li>\n<li>Processing of <strong>NGS<\/strong> data, demultiplexing of runs, quality control of sequences, and sample processing, such as adapter trimming.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of <strong>omic data<\/strong> analysis services for users of the Genomics Unit &#8211; FPCM: <strong>genomics and metagenomics, transcriptomics and metatranscriptomics<\/strong> data, <strong>single-cell analysis<\/strong>, high-throughput genotyping\/gene expression, statistical analyses, panel analyses, and variant filtering, etc.<\/li>\n<li>IT and bioinformatics support for the Genomics Unit FPCM: management of equipment and servers, management of data storage systems, repositories, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration in training and outreach processes related to the activities of the Genomics Unit and the general activity of the FPCM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold a university degree (Bachelor&#8217;s or equivalent) in fields related to <strong>Life Sciences<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Have completed a <strong>Master&#8217;s degree in Bioinformatics<\/strong> or have equivalent training.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Verifiable experience<\/strong> in Genomics data analysis, particularly in <strong>next-generation sequencing, real-time PCR<\/strong>, and\/or <strong>single-cell analysis<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with <strong>R<\/strong> packages.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to program automated tasks within bioinformatics analysis workflows.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and use of the <strong>Linux<\/strong> OS.<\/li>\n<li><strong>B2 level of English<\/strong>, according to the CEFR standard.<\/li>\n<li>Possibility of <strong>immediate incorporation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>WHAT WE OFFER<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Permanent contract<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Full-time position<\/strong> of 39 hours per week.<\/li>\n<li>Immediate start.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Intensive workday schedule<\/strong> during Easter, summer, and Christmas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Training<\/strong> in the latest technical and scientific advances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>WORKPLACE<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Madrid Science Park Foundation, calle Faraday 7, 28049, Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5 data-sourcepos=\"3:1-3:18\"><strong>SELECTION PLAN<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:239\">Candidates who obtain the highest score will be interviewed, provided they reach a total of 60 points in the sum of the assessable criteria (C1-C4).
